Daniel Carvo

Consultant

Mr. Carvo held numerous positions over his thirty-year correctional career including Correctional Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Parole Agent I, II, III, and Staff Counsel I. He was instrumental in the Board of Parole Hearings class action suit (Armstrong, Valdivia, Rutherford) litigation responses and compliance efforts. These efforts included the development of statewide policies and procedures, tracking systems, and ongoing compliance monitoring throughout the State’s prisons, county jails, parole units, and community-based parolee programs. He served as a subject matter expert for parole proceedings and events related to parole proceedings. Mr. Carvo retired from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) as the Supervisor/Manager of CDCR’s American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation efforts statewide. Mr. Carvo holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento and a Juris Doctorate Degree from McGeorge School of Law.
