A graduate of Claremont McKenna College with a dual degree in Economics/Mathematics, Mr. Eaves met Sabot co-founder Darren Chiappinelli while they were both working at Grant Thornton in the late 1990s. When the opportunity presented itself, they formed Sabot Consulting with the vision of being a trusted advisor to executives and managers, and a commitment to providing clients with unbiased, candid recommendations.
Mr. Eaves has worked with such organizations as Missouri Employers Mutual, AltaMed Health Services, Montana State Fund, Countrywide, Agilent Technologies, and numerous agencies and departments within the States of California and Montana. The breadth and complexity of these projects has provided him with unique in-depth knowledge and valuable insight. He has extensive experience in enterprise architecture, strategic IT consulting, business process re-engineering and project management.
Mr. Eaves is married and has two daughters. He enjoys golf, hunting, and fly-fishing.

Darren Chiappinelli
Co-Founder Mr. Chiappinelli is not only a U.S. Army Veteran and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he has more than fifteen years of experience in information technology and management consulting. With a high level of discipline and the insider knowledge that comes from extensive hands-on experience, Mr. Chiappinelli works with CIOs and other C-level executives to bring business and technology together on large development implementation projects and program restructuring. He has worked on projects ranging in size from several million to several hundred million dollars, and for clients such as AT&T, DirecTV, Toyota, and the States of California and Montana.

A former software engineer and software developer with a degree in Military Engineering, Mr. Chiappinelli met Sabot co-founder Christopher Eaves when they were both working at Grant Thornton in the late 1990s. When the opportunity presented itself, they formed Sabot Consulting with the vision of being a trusted advisor to executives and managers, and a commitment to providing clients with unbiased, candid recommendations.
Sabot’s focus on independent advice allows Mr. Chiappinelli to work very closely with clients on the very best technical solutions, without being tied to implementation or potential bias. His military training and engineering background have provided him with a keen understanding of leadership from a government standpoint, as well as the ability to deftly solve complex problems in both private and public sectors.
Mr. Chiappinelli is a fly-fisherman and a recreational pilot. He is also a former board member for the National Wild Horse Center.

Jason Gentry
Director Jason Gentry has over 15 years of experience in developing, planning, and executing program and IT strategic initiatives. He started with Booz Allen Hamilton developing their Enterprise Architecture practice and has worked with many large Federal and State government clients such as the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and California Department of Health Care Services as well as smaller government, private, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Gentry provided an important role in the development and use of the initial Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models for the Office of Management and Budget.

Mr. Gentry’s early experience in developing and managing IT environments provided the foundation for becoming a well-respected enterprise architect, project manager and thought leader. His contributions to his clients and the practice of EA have led to multiple speaking engagements at industry conferences. Mr. Gentry has a breadth of industry knowledge with a recent focus on health care as a project manager for large health care improvement efforts within the State.
Mr. Gentry is a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems and is a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.

Mike Brady
Director Mike Brady leads the firm’s efforts in Criminal Justice Capability Improvement. Before joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Brady served as an Assistant Secretary of Audits and Court Compliance, Chief of Court Compliance, Deputy Commissioner, and Project Manager for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in California. He has overseen the development and implementation of Court ordered remedial plans for civil rights litigation at the state and federal level.

Mr. Brady is intimately familiar with the requirements of AB109/117 and his legal education and experience as a public policy consultant for the President Pro Tempore of the California State Senate gives him tremendous insight into the legislative intent of these bills and any necessary clean up legislation.
Mr. Brady holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of California at Davis.
