Darren Chiappinelli
Co-Founder
Darren is not only a U.S. Army Veteran and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he has more than fifteen years of experience in information technology and management consulting. With a high level of discipline and the insider knowledge that comes from extensive hands-on experience, Darren works with CIOs and other C-level executives to bring business and technology together on large development implementation projects and program restructuring. He has worked on projects ranging in size from several million to several hundred million dollars, and for clients such as AT&T, DirectsTV, Toyota, and the States of California and Montana.
A former software engineer and software developer with a degree in Military Engineering, Darren met Sabot co-founder Christopher Eaves when they were both working at Grant Thornton in the late 1990s. When the opportunity presented itself, they formed Sabot Consulting with the vision of being a trusted advisor to executives and managers, and a commitment to providing clients with unbiased, candid recommendations.
Sabot’s focus on independent advice allows Darren to work very closely with clients on the very best technical solutions, without being tied to implementation or potential bias. His military training and engineering background have provided him with a keen understanding of leadership from a government standpoint, as well as the ability to deftly solve complex problems in both private and public sectors. Darren is a fly-fisherman and a recreational pilot. He is also a former board member for the National Wild Horse Center.
